Outlook 2016 task dates changing to a date in the past automatically

    Question

  • We have an instance of Outlook 2016 tied to an Office 365 Bus Prem account. Any task created shows the correct date when created, but within one day the date is changed to October of 2016. Changing the due date populates with that date as well by default. The computer date and time are accurate and the account isn't syncing with any Apple services. Mail and calendar do sync to an iPhone but not tasks.

  • Hi,

Does this issue continue if we try using Outlook within safe mode? To open Outlook in safe mode, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type outlook /safe and press Enter.

In addition, are you using a custom task form and setting it as the default task form? To verify this, go to Tasks navigation pane, right click Tasks folder, select Properties. Make sure "IPM.Task" is selected for "When posting to this folder, use:".
