Hi
I want to know IIS services dependency on mailbox server. If IIS is down is ther any impact to mailbox server.Friday, January 24, 2014 7:15 AM

Hi
IIS has/stores the pools and services like OWA, OAB, autodiscover etc. info. if you take IIS down you will lose connectivity on your clients, OWA wont be available etc. etc.
If you want to cycle IIS best would be to do that after hours.

its not recommened to have it turned off you can recylcle it that might not take even more than a minute
Also your users might not even know any interuption because the time taken to restart the IIS is very little

I believe the only dependence there would be for remote administration.
You know that you can check the dependencies for each service yourself, right? Just run the "services.msc" MMC snap-in.
