Project Center 2007 Not Loading Projects RRS feed

  • Question

  • Experts,

Sometimes when users (including me the Admin) open PWA Project Center they get the following message. if they refresh it sometimes works again. I tried removing some of the fitlers in the views but that's not helping either. any ideas?

There are no projects to view in Project Center. This is because you might not have permissions on any projects or no projects are published.

There is another aspect of not displaying of projects in project center, Just a hunch, as you said, somtimes it does,

if you have more no of projects(in my case it was 150+) being displayed in Project Center, and your network connection / resources are not fast enough, then at times you may experience projects not getting loaded into Project center, try reducing no of projects in project center, by applying filters in views / categorizing them in different views so as less no of projects gets loaded in view

Let me know if this is the case

  • Hi Hadie,

Project Server 2007 uses a grid to display Project Center/Project views. that grid is an activeX control and your browser can determine if its not already installed and give you an option to install it.

I believe the problem you are facing is because of the grid not because of the filters in the views. uninstall the grid on PCs you are facing this issue, clear the cache and install it again. I hope this exercise will help you to get rid of this problem.

  • Thanks Khurram. How do I uninstall the grid? I dont see it under Add/Remove Programs. Also, the problems started to happen to more than one user almost at the same time, which leads me to think something else is causing it

  • It's under the browser setting.  Manage-addons.

    Cheers!
