  • Hello,

I dont know of any hard limit, providing the system is scaled correctly you should be fine. How many PWA instances are you thinking of? Things to consider are:

    • Create each PWA site collection in its own Content DB / Web Application if possible so it makes upgrade / migration easier
    • Set the scheduled jobs (cube build etc.) at different times - stagger the jobs

    Thanks

  • Hello,

4 PWA instances will be fine - as I said, the system design is key to ensure that the farm has enough capacity to support the additonal usage / users.

When you upgrade or migrate you will need to upgrade and migrate all 3/4 PWA instances at the same time as they are all stored in the same content DB.

    Thanks

  • Thanx PWMather,

we already have 3 PWA sites, sharing the same content DB. and now i am asked to create another one. we are not using much services like Olap cube etc. .

As i already mentioned all PWAs are using the same web application or same port 80 which i can't change. what problems can i face when we will go for migration.
