Robocopy does not keep original timestamp for the last folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • I used Robocopy.exe to make copies for whole disk or folder in order to keep the original timestamps of the fodlers at the creation. I used the following command options:

    Robocopy *.* D: C:/temp /S /E /R:1000000 /W:30 /COPYALL /DCOPY:T

It worked for most folders except the last folder (decending order in alpha) at the top level. The timestamp for the last folder was the one at the running of the program, not at the creation of the folder. If the last folder contains subfolders, the same problem also happens for the last subfolder. I searched on the web in order to find if there was a known bug related to this problem and did not find one.

  • Strange one. Did you try the robocopy from another machine instead?
