SMIME certificates for email signing (obtained from internal PKI)

Hi,

I'm configuring smime certificates for email signing.
We're using the internal PKI environment.

When sending email signed with these certificates to an external email address, you get a warning that the CA isn't trusted.. Which seems logic to me.
Is there a way to use email signing for external emails (via own PKI, so no external certificate costs) without the recipient requiring actions?

Hi Lyncer2013,

As the certificate is issued by internal CA, you need to download, copy and install it in external client. Here's a link about different type of certificate:

So it'll be that, or buy externally trusted signing certificates
