How to do contrasts / deviation coding within rxLinMod just like the way you can do it with lm()? RRS feed

  • Question

  • How to do contrasts / deviation coding within rxLinMod just like the way you can do it with lm()?

    From LM:

    irisLM <- lm(Sepal.Length ~ Sepal.Width + Petal.Length + Petal.Width + Species, data = iris, contrasts = list(Species = 'contr.sum'))
    summary(irisLM)

How to correctly use rxLinMod to do within lm contrast, the problem arises when my data has a million categories?  Out of memory happens if you are to use with model.matrix approach

    Could the xdf be helpful?

I want to achieve something like this one: (NOT WORKING)

    irisRxLM <- rxLinMod(Sepal.Length ~ Sepal.Width + Petal.Length + Petal.Width + Species, data = iris, contrasts = list(Species = 'contr.sum'))
    summary(irisRxLM)

    Thank you.
