Backspace Button Keeps Taking Me Back A Page RRS feed

  • Question

  • The backspace button keeps taking me back a page whenever I am on facebook and I cannot figure out how to stop it. I tried the about:config like on firefox but nothing happens, it doesn't give me the correct setting to turn it off and have backspace for backspace only. Do you know a about:config for internet Explorer or is it something different? Please let me know

  • Hi,

use the f7 function key to turn Caret browsing on/off in IE.

The backspace key by default will navigate the travel log when

    1. the body has focus and

    2. the tab history is greater than one.

Ensure that a text field has focus (not the body) when you press the backspace key.

If you are playing a pogo game on facebook, it may have been incorrectly programmed to use the backspace key for something else.

    Regards.
