Netscaler MP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Anyone using this MP from Citrix ? After installation I saw a huge increase in performance collection and realized that the MP collects a lot of counter every 30 seconds. I'm probably going to override most of those collection rules to decrease the load on my DB and the agent. I wanted to know if anyone has seen this with this MP ?

    TIA

  • I'll try to get someone from Citrix to respond to this.

  • i talked to Citrix about this today.  What version of their MP are you using?  the latest is 1.0.10.5 and it has disabled the perf rules by default and they increased the interval to be 5 mins by default.

  • you can find their latest MP here:  http://community.citrix.com/display/ns/Microsoft%20System%20Center%20PRO%20MP%20for%20Citrix%20NetScaler%20management

this includes both their Performance resource optimization (PRO) enabled MP which can be used if you are using System center Virtual Machine manager 2008.  It also includes the latest version of their OpsMgr MP (version 1.0.10.5).

  • With the new version, do I need to register the DLLs (NSConfig.dll, NSStat.dll and SScrRun.dll) or do I just install the MSI ?

  • yes install of MSI is enough as it will implicitly register the DLLs
