  • Have you looked at or can you post your BDD.log? That return code pretty much means unknown error.

  • I have this same issue in my TS when i have a certain custom task enabled:

    The TS failed when it gets to this step. When i disable it, it runs fine and completes successfully. I haven't tried running it yet with continue on error selected. I didn't find anything i couldn't interpret the bdd.log

  • I like the wrapper method of installing or running executables, so you can get extra logging. Use the code below as a wrapper, just replace "RUNFILE" with whatever you're using this script for.

    <job id="Action-RUNFILE">
    <script language="VBScript" src="..\..\scripts\ZTIUtility.vbs"/>
    <script language="VBScript">

    ' //***************************************************************************
    ' // Purpose: Template with error logging
    ' // Usage: cscript.exe Action-RUNFILE.wsf [/debug:true]
    ' // Creator: Daniel Vega
    ' // Version: 1.0 - 10/21/2015
    ' // Notes:
    ' //
    ' //***************************************************************************

    '//----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    '//
    '// Global constant and variable declarations
    '//
    '//----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Option Explicit

    Dim iRetVal

    '//----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    '// End declarations
    '//----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    '//----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    '// Main routine
    '//----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    On Error Resume Next
    iRetVal = ZTIProcess
    ProcessResults iRetVal
    On Error Goto 0

    '//---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    '//
    '// Function: ZTIProcess()
    '//
    '// Input: None
    '//

    '//

    Function ZTIProcess()

    	Dim sSetupFile
    	Dim sArguments

    	sSetupFile = oUtility.ScriptDir & "\Source\RUNFILE.exe"

    	Else

    	End If
