Mail merge from Word stuck in Outbox RRS feed

  • Hi, i am running Office 365 on a Mac El Capitan 10.11.3. Office is up to date. I cannot do any mail merges via Word either using my Outlook database or an Excel database if i send it via text or HTML. The emails just get stuck in the Outbox and wont send. It will send if i send as an attachment, but that is not ideal and really doesnt look great on my part. Outlook is set as my default email program. 

    Been having this problem for some time now. Pls help urgently

  • Hi,

    What type of email account do you use (POP, IMAP, MAPI or Exchange)? What if you manually initiate a send/receive operation in Outlook?

    Outlook just doesn't send messages from the outbox until you open the main window. So when you do mail merge, make sure that Outlook client is opened.

    Please have a try and see if it works.
