Vista doesnt boot into main screen - I only see black screen and a cursor RRS feed

  • I managed to get my system back by using "last known good configuration"

    I found out what the problem was...

    I had installed an extra plug in that comes with Magic ISO that allows you to mount an ISO image as a drive letter.  This plugin works fine but I have since discovered that if you install Roxio Easy Media Creator with this plugin having previously been installed then the PC will not boot.

    I completely removed the Magic Iso mounting plugin and then reinstalled Roxio and everything is fine.
