USB 3.0 resource exceeded RRS feed

  • I have posted this on other forums but have not had a solution yet. I have also tried the online chat help line but the person who responded could not give me a soloution.

I have a number of USB 2 based units that are connected using a number of USB 2 hubs. Both hubs and units are self powered and the units have three open pipes each. When I connect to usb 2.0 host port or ports on a PC I can have a large number of units connecting succesfully. This is on windows 8, 8.1, 7, XP, and also on a Win 10 preview.

When I connect to usb 3.0 ports on the host PC when I exceed 13 units (29 pipes) I get connection problems. Win 8 shows "out of resource" and Win 7 shows code 10 errors in the device manager.

Since PCs are now being made with only USB 3 ports this is becoming a major problem. I am using the latest version of drivers.
