Skype For Business contact Groups RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, our customer has Office 365 subscription and we would like to deploy Skype For Business to all customers. So far I am ok - Office Deployment Tool, network share, startup script etc. all is working. What I would like to know is:

    - Is it possible to customize Skype For Business Contact Groups for users?

I would like every user to start his Skype For Business app and automatically see all domain users in some default groups.

So they don't have to search them (search is working fine - not the issue here) and add them to groups manually.

    Thank you

    Lukas

  • You can add Distribution group that contains all users in the company.

You can start with a new account that has added this distribution group, then export it and import it.

  • Hello, thank you for your suggestion. But unfortunatelly Export-CsUserData is not available to Lync Online .

I looked all over the internet and nearly every forum has few topics about this functionality. And best answers i found were:

    - use 3rd party tool

    - add distribution group with all users - but guess what, SFB 2016 does not support dynamic distr. groups :-)

So i guess we can close this topic.

    thank you guys.
