Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have IBM T42 laptop (Windows XP) with 2915abg wireless addapter installed.

When I want to see IP address ipconfig, I get follow:

    C:\>ipconfig

    Windows IP Configuration

An internal error occurred: A device attached to the system is not functioning.

Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services for further help.

Additional information: Unknown media status code.

    C:\>

Does someone know how to fix it?

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

I have the same kind of problems with a "job laptop" (IBM T41). I never find from where it was coming but in my case "ipconfig /all" works fine. Could you give a try to do the same but with the " /all" parameter ?

      Hope this helps...
