resolving hidden updates that won't install after downloading at window updates. RRS feed

  • Question

  • All of a sudden with growing concern, (3).NET framework security updates, that are already downloaded but won't install, are a ''pile up'' of MB's to keep hidden at windows updates, on the laptops hard drive.

I've tried (downloading) the (Wups2.dll file) & (windows update agent30-x64), that (failed) downloading to the (pc) with errors.  I'am now studying windows (fixcleaner) tool, as a overall solution for problem-to-install updates.

Meanwhile: (3) .NET framework 4 updates are for ''delete'' from the hard drive. Is there a solution to (remove) them, since I have (Microsoft security essentials) to ''better'' (pc) maintanance.

  • Hi Lee Payne,

    Thanks for the post!

Which security updates you cannot install?

Could you manually download it from the Microsoft official website then install it?

If it fails, what's the error message you got?

Additionally, .NET Framework and MSE are different things, MSE cannot replace it.

Please try manually download and reinstall it to check if it works.

    Regards,

    Miya

Thanks for the .NET framework support. I finally solved (3) failed (windows updates),

with (Microsoft fix it) & (.NET framework clean up tool), for successful re-installing.

This was a situation to increase information to my (file section),
