Maple Story: GameGuard corrupt or missing? RRS feed

  • Question

I already had Maple Story installed on my computer, but I haven't played in a while. I figured I'd need to patch it before it would work. I've tried patching it, but it when I do, the "Wizet Patcher" doesn't move at all! It's still open on my computer and it hasn't moved in about 20 minutes. I've tried to re-download the game, it didn't work. Instead when I tried to play it a message came up saying "GameGuard Error Initializing (153) A GameGuard file is corrupt or missing. We recommend executing the GameGuard setup file or solution." I don't know what that means. The patch isn't working, and installing the game again doesn't work, I don't know what to do. I'd really like to be able to play Maple Story again, is it possible that it may have something to do with my computer having Windows Vista? It used to work before, even when I had Windows Vista but I'm wondering if maybe they've recently made an update that makes Maple Story and Vista not compatible.

    Please help?
