Health and Performance Monitoring of SharePoint 2007 RRS feed

    I want to monitor health and performance of Sharepont 2007.Pls advise what all services and parameters i need to check .

    To monitor Health and Performance of SharePoint 2007, you may need to pay a attention to the parameter like number of current connection, maximum connections of the SharePoint web server, iis parameter like version, iis state, service type and web directories path, MSSQL parameters such as free pages, page reads, page writes, sql cache memery and buffer cache hit ratio and more.


    There are some third party tools for it, here is an article about this, and list the elements that to monitor, you may have a try:

    Please advise how can i monitor for :

    Application Pool Status
    Sharepoint Site Status in IIS
    SharePoint Site Response Time
    Single Sign-On Service


     in IIS through perfmon.

  • Hi,

    Go to Start--> Run-->Perfmon.

    This will open the perfmon for you you can add these counters and it will show the values to you.

    Application Pool Status,
    Sharepoint Site Status in IIS

    ..please advise threshold for the same also
