Forefront TMG & IPv6 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Forefront UAG & TMG configured on a server 2008 r2 hyper-v virtual machine.

There is a virtual nic configured to connect to the ' IPv6intranet ' subnet, and another virtual nic configured for ' fake-internet '.

There are two other systems configured with a single nic also connected to 'IPv6intranet'.

All three systems can ping one another with IPv4 addresses.

The two other systems have been able to pick up the IPv6 gateway and get assigned proper IPv6 addresses respectively.

The server running forefront UAG / TMG however, cannot seem to contact any server on the ' IPv6intranet ' subnet using link-local addresses, is not listing the same IPv6 default gateways as the other two boxes, and has not been able to get a proper IPv6 address.

I'm wondering why does this seem to be the case?

All servers have ISATAP, Teredo, and 6to4 disabled, as they should be getting proper IPv6 addresses. (and as mentioned, even the link local addresses on the same subnet seem to be ineffective)

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
