Status stuck at "Pausing" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just installed FAST (RTM) on a stand-alone server to crawl my SP 2010 server.  I started a full crawl and it was running for over 16 hours (my SP 2010 content DB is only 37 GB).

Running a Get-FASTSearchContentCollection from Powershell was showing a DocumentCount of zero even after the 16 hours.

So I decided to pause the crawl and see if that changed anything.  Now the crawl status is stuck at "Pausing".  Any idea why?

There is 60GB free on the database server where the index databases are being stored.  It the options to Resume or even Delete on the Content Source are grayed out.  The only thing I can get to is Edit or History, and Edit won't let me change anything because it still thinks it is a pausing/paused crawl.

I rebooted the FAST server, no change.

  • Hi

I would recommend trying the "Index reset" link. I have never seen that being greyed out.

Just make sure you read all the notes in small font size :-)
