Enabling Enterprise Mode in Internet Explorer 11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I am trying to enable Enterprise Mode for IE 11. The feature does not appear in the IE Tools menu as it should be.

I have had no success with applying Group Policy and Registry Editor settings. Enterprise Mode Site Manager List tool is also installed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Usman

  • Hi UsmanDar,

According to your description, First, we need to check if the IE 11 is at the version at lease that enterprise mode is added in

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2929437

Then, make sure to add EM in GP for IE 11.

if there is any error when you enable Enterprise Mode. This error might occurs due to the template. We could downloaded the template from the link below and replace the inetres.admx and inetres.adml in C:\windows\PolicyDefinitions.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-hk/download/details.aspx?id=40905

Then we could try delete the following registry keys, they will be recreated when you launch Internet Explorer.

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\Cache\Extensible Cache\EmieModeList
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\Cache\Extensible Cache\EmieSiteList
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\Cache\Extensible Cache\EmieUserList
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\LowCache\Extensible Cache\EmieModeList
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\LowCache\Extensible Cache\EmieSiteList
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\LowCache\Extensible Cache\EmieUserList

Hope it will be helpful to you.
