Menu drop down do not execute RRS feed

  • Question

  • On my company's sharepoint site, I can select a drop down menu & select an item, e.g. My Settings. When I click, the menu disappears but nothing is executed. I use both IE8 & IE7. I believe it is sharepoint server 200.

Are there IE settings I need to check.

On the same PC, I can access my internal Sharepoint site and the drop downs work.

  • HI,

I think you have missed to clarify your version.

Can you try with some other browser like Opera or Mozilla?

Do you get  any error in ULS logs or event viewer?

No such thing. Please advise if it is 2007 or 2010

  •  I was remotely accessing site to see if different O/S & browser would work differently. They did not. I will obtain SharePoint version today and post back.

  • In working with the Sharepoint folks, the issue is the standard is IE7. Are there configuration settings I can use to make IE9 look like IE7? This is a work related issue. (I do not wish to give up IE9).
