Exchange 2007 transport rule RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm trying to configure an auto reply by creating a transport rule.

I read in microsoft's technet that there's many types of original system messages with different codes :

    2.X.X, 4.X.X and 5.X.X

    I type : Get-SystemMessage -Original in powershell, I found only 5.X.X codes

I tried to add 2.X.X SystemMessage by entering this command :

Set-SystemMessage En\Internal\2.0.0 -Text "We have receive your message..."

    and

Set-SystemMessage En\External\2.0.0 -Text "We have receive your message..."

I'm able to find these these new DSN by entering this command :

    Get-SystemMessage

and I got this as an answer :

    Identity                  Text
    --------                  ----
En\External\2.0.0         We have receive your message...
En\Internal\2.0.0         We have receive your message...

when I try to create a transport rule I can not assign 2.0.0 error code.

can you tell me where I'm wrong ?

    thanks.

  • Hello,

after being in different forums, this is what I can say :

    in exchange server there's 12 transportruleactions :

    Name
    ----
    LogEvent
    PrependSubject
    ApplyClassification
    ApplyDisclaimer
    SetSCL
    SetHeader
    RemoveHeader
    AddToRecipient
    CopyTo
    BlindCopyTo
    RedirectMessage
    RejectMessage
    DeleteMessage

in theses actions, we can not find 'autoreply', the only one that can be used in my case is "RejectMessage" with 5.7.1 as DSN code.

I think that the solution is to create a new TransporRuleAction as shown on MSDN Library (I'm not very fluent in this type of pragrammation) :

All replies

  • Please define your parameters,

Is this a sub set of users or all users?

One auto reply message or multiple auto reply messages per group / user?

    Thanks,

    Paul.

Found this, but it requires client end config

  • Hello, thanks for your help

in the URL, they speak about"delivery not authorised, message refused" using 5.7.1 DSN which is not my aim.

what I want to do is an auto relpy for a succes delivery, that's why I create an new SystemMessage with new code (2.0.0).

at the step of choosing action, I can change text, but I can not change code so sender will always have a relpy with error subject : "undelivered" and in the message the first line will be : "Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists :"

I want to have a "success auto reply".

I want to know how to integrate success code 2.0.0 in original SystemMessages of exchange server to be able to add it in step 2
