windows media player wont let me burn with my cd drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • in windows media, when i select "burn" to burn a cd, on the right side it tells me to "connect a burner and restart the player". It won't recognize my cd player as a burner. It rips and plays fine. I have another computor which is the same type Dell optiplex GX280, and it works fine.

why wont it let me burn with my cd player in my computer?

  • Hi,

CD player is a CD player. As far as I know, most of the CD players don’t have the ability to burn a disk. If you want to burn a disk, please ensure that you have a CD or DVD writer.
