  • Dear Team,

    please help we facing a big issue 

    we make plocy group policy in win 2008 r2 server and few days after that wallpaper not applay any one all users desktop blank .

    only some days activate again slowly slowly all users desktop blank

    what is this issue and why we facing this type problem and what good solution about this  please share step by step

  • Hi,
     
    So you've stored the wallpaper image on the local drive of each user. First make sure that the file is still there in the right folder.
     
    Then, please check related registry key on the client machine, and see if it exists:
     
    Path: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
    Value name: Wallpaper

    You mean the "Desktop WallPaper" policy setting under: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop > Desktop?
     
    I'm not sure whether I've understood your description above correctly. You mean the policy setting worked well at the beginning, and then, a few days later, it doesn't work anymore? Or it never takes effect at all?
     
    Could you please share the detailed steps on how you configured this?

  • Create a folder called Wallpaper in Sysvol folder and put the wallpaper there. Provide the link for the wallpaper in sysvol folder in the GP.
