Displays get messed up everytime I apply patches RRS feed

    I use 3 different monitors on my Vista machine, 2 standard desktop monitors and a wall mounted flatscreen that is used for presentations.


    Every time I download and install Microsoft patches and updates, all of my display settings get messed up.  The only consistent thing is the fact that it completely disables my primary monitor every time.  Other than that it randomly chooses which monitors to enable, which one is the primary, where my gadgets load, where my task bar is, etc.

     

    This is very frustrating and any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

    I have encountered similar issue myself. Instead of the updates from Microsoft, the issue should be related to video card driver. Have you tried other versions of video card driver? If not, I recommend you to download and try other versions of driver and check the result. If you are using Nvidia product, you can download the driver via:
