Licening reporting and VLSC.com RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been collecting license information from all our domain servers using MAP, which went without a hitch.

But it is possible to have MAP retieive the license information from VLSC and compare them with the MAP report?
The point is that I want the MAP report to reflect usage of available license instead of licenses used. I'm thinking that this way we can see how many of our licenses we use, and if needed where we are using more than we have ( and need to buy more).

We're still awaiting approval for purchasing of SCCM, so in the mean time this is very relevant.

    Any good ideas are welcome.
If this qeustion has been put in the wrong subforum please let me know and I'll try to move it or close it and make a new one.

    Best Regards
    Martin

  • Another faster solution would be. getting the microsoft appointed software Large reseller partners to help you to manage the licenses inventory.

But of course you will neeed to pay the large reseller because they will surely have softwares to help you with.

1 of the microsoft Large reseller were "softwareone" you may google them and get in contact with them. i am sure they will be able to assist you further.

    Hi Guowen

Thanks for the reply. We've already got a reseller (which we use for small purchases and other misc. stuff), which we can contact.
It's worth a shot, but I'm trying to find a solution that can do this with out using a reseller.
