Lockdown IIS for IBCM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey everyone,

Looking to get some feedback on "locking down" IIS for our IBCM server.  Our configuration is a dedicated MP for internet clients behind a Citrix Netscaler that only allows 443 to the MP.  What I would like to do is terminate or redirect, etc. any traffic that would hit this URL that is not crafted from an SCCM Client.  (i.e. just punching the HTTPS URL into your favorite browser, etc.)

*Similar to locking down URLS that are not formatted for Outlook in Exchange.

I am admittedly not super in-depth with IIS security so wanted to get others input before we start down this path.

    Thanks!

  • William,

We are looking at doing the same thing with our Netscaler for IBCM.  Were you able to implement it or did you find another solution?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Alan, no I never did get an answer on this and have since left the company I was at.  Still very interesting in knowing how to do this though.  Hoping someone will chime in.
