  • Question

  • Would there be any issues with bookings if a meeting room was invited by sending the meeting invite to the Distribution list? Just wondering if there are any perceived problems with this if not sending the email directly to the room?

  • That email will go directly to the room - distribution lists aren't stopping points, but are just lists of mailboxes that get a message.  The only possible issue I can think of is that the room won't be listed as a resource, so you won't see it as the place that the meeting is to be held.  The room will just be an attendee.  So if you want people to see where the meeting is quickly, you send the meeting with the room as a resource attendee.

  • Hi,

The room mailbox which is added within the Distribution Group in To field would not be shown as the location in all attendees’ Calendar.

However, the meeting request would be send to the room mailbox and processed in room Calendar. It can be accepted or declined in room mailbox. Only the attendees can’t get the location information for the meeting request.

Please add the room mailbox in the Resource\location field for a meeting request.

    Regards,
