add new variable in system variable for View full username RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can I get the user full name ? like %username% or %computername% .
and How can I add it to the system enviroment variable?

I want to use it in the following command line instead of username

    \\fileserver\folder\%username%

Now I want to set a value instead of username to give me Fullname or displayname

All of this can be done in a domain , and I want to use it in the Active Directory

  • Those two should already exist by default. From cmd.exe

    set

    to view them

Control Panel\System\Advanced\Environment variables to view or add more.
