1. First make sure your KMS host is activated (see link below). As long as your KMS host is discoverable in DNS, and your clients are on the same network, they will find the KMS host and activate.

2. The rearm process does several important things:
- The grace timer is reset to 30 days of grace. After deploying the image and opening an application for the first time, prevents seeing the red bar of an unactivated installation.
- The grace timer is frozen.
- The client machine ID (CMID) is reset. The KMS host uses the CMID to determine the number of unique clients. To check the CMID, use the command
ospp.vbs /dcmid.
