How to inactive the project RRS feed

  • Question

  • i am using project server 2010, i want to put the project inactive since the project is put to OnHold due to some technical reason. Project is having some completed task with actuals, some task with in progress. since project contain numerious ongoing task, Task are appearing in the timesheet of the resources. they are posting the time & updating the task. I would like to inactive/remove the whole project from timesheet, so that it will not appeari in the current timesheet.

Is there any solution to place whole project as inactive.

    Thanks

  • The simplest would be to delete the project from the Published database, but keep it in Draft and Archive.

Alternatively, if you still want it in Project Center, you can add the Publish field for all tasks, and set it to No - then republish.  Not sure that will take in-progress activities off of the timesheet, but it might.

  • Hi Farhan,

Check if making all the tasks inactive inturn makes the project inactive. Below is the article which talks about making task inactive.

  • Hi Farhan,

You can select your project form Project center the click on Close to updates and publish the project from same page, no of the team member will be able to send updates for project.
