Secondary Protection and Chaining DPM 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi MS,

Will it be possible to chain DPM 2012 in three steps (DPM1 -> DPM2 -> DPM3), so data protected on DPM1 can be not only redundantly protected on DPM2 - but also DPM3 (this is not possible at the moment with DPM2010, as DPM3 only will be able to protect data protected from DPM2)

This will be of great help in our setup, as we have two different locations and want to put in a third step to protect both.

Thank you in advance, and thank you for a supersweet product !

  • DPM1 can be protected by DPM2 and then DPM2 can be protected by DPM3

    DPM1 can't be protected by both DPM2 and DPM3

  • Malorenzen, Could you please explain your topology and need in a greater detail? There might be an alternate way of meeting the need.
