SCCM Client on UAG server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'd like to deploy our SCCM client to the UAG server but am not sure if I need to open up ports on the Windows firewall side or on the TMG side and wanted some input.  I'm doing to deploy and monitor the new Forefront client being installed on all computers in our company.

    Thank you,

  • Hi Ryan,

if you want to establish communication between the sccm agent on uag and your sccm server you need to create an access rule in tmg. The windows firewall is not part of the game if tmg is installed on the box.

    Bye

Install the SCCM manually and then configure access rules for the following:

Outbound HTTP to the SCCM server (for policy retrieval)

Outbound HTTP to port 8530/8531 to SCCM WSUS server (for software update scanning)

Outbound CIFS to any distribution points (probably just the SCCM server)

    Cheers

    JJ
