ADRMS Reporting-Based on Documents RRS feed

  • hi ,

    How can we create reports for below

    1.How many documents are restricted by particular user?

    2.How many ms-word,outlook mails and other documents are restricted using ADRMS?
    3.List of user who doesnt use RMS Client more than 30 days?

  • Hi,

    1 and 2 a hard to tell because this information is not logged in the logging database until the documents are consumed from a user other than the owner.

    for 3 you can grab that information form the logging database.

  • As Lutz pointed out due to the "offline" nature of RMS the data you have in the logging database is not dead-on accurate so you have to make certain assumptions. Assume that users protect content with the intention of sharing it with at least one user , so for 1 and 2 the number of issuance licenses the logging database has knowledge of is the number of protected content.

    Number 3 is also tricky since the client is not going to contact the server unless the user needs a new use license or a new RAC. But that does not mean that the user is not using the RMS client.
