SCCM 2012 installation and configuration on top of SCCM 2007 R3. RRS feed

  • I want to install SCCM 2012 to the existing setup of SCCM 2007 R3.

    1.I have installed SCCM 2007 R3 and discovered and installed clients successfully.

    2.now i need to install SCCM 2012.Can i install over the same setup are i need to install in different server and migrate the same.

    Kindly suggest.

    You need to install it on a seperate server and migrate to that new site, there is no in-place upgrade avaialble from SCCM 2007 -> 2012 .

    No the site code must be unique and the same goes for the server name if you want to be able to have them up and running at the same time and co-exists so you can migrate objects from SCCM 2007 -> 2012
