Getting error on sample BI report I copied to new folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • I created an additional Document library in the BI section and copied the issues and risks sample report to it.  I did this in order to make changes to the report while not destroying the good sample report.  The copy went fine and I can run the report from the other library.  However, I keep getting a message saying I have to refresh external data and do I want to do that?  The sample report library does not give me this message.  Do I have to update something with the report or library to keep me from having to hit yes every time?  Here is the message I am getting.

  • You must enable trust for the folder.   This is done in SharePoint Central admin in the Excel Services.

  • There is a check box called Warn on Refresh on the Trusted File locations entry. Uncheck that box and this annoying message goes away. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff487971(v=SQL.105).aspx

Also, the default http:// entry covers your entire farm by default. There's really no need to create a new entry for every report folder.

    Hope this helps.
