  • how to use perspective in performancepoint analytic grid

    if i try to pass perspective as a parmater in the grid, i got following error message

    "The cubename in the query does not match the cubename of the datasource.

    Contact the administrator for more details"

  • Confused by your use of the word perspective. You have a perspective defined in your SSAS source.  Do you have that selected in the PPS Multidimensional data source you created?

    How is your parameter defined and what source is that referencing?  Is the item in the parameter that you are using available in the perspective?

    Please provide some addiitional information as to how you have everything defined and connected.  Thanks.

    If you get the 'Contact the administrator for more details' take a look at the Application Event Log on the machine that is running PerformancePoint for more details on the error message to resolve the issue.  Another option to help troubleshoot is to run a SQL Server Profiler trace against the SSAS source while you are interacting with the dashboard page.
