  • For the patching issues I'd verify system and servicing health by running;

    sfc /scannow

    also system update readiness tool

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/947821

    Then check for errors in;
    %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

    For WSUS issues I'd ask for help over here.

  • Hi Pinaki,

    In addition to Dave, please also do the following things, check if it could be of help:

    1. On the problematic server, please clear SoftwareDistribution folder. To do it:

    1) Stop windows update services;

    2) Delete or rename SoftwareDistribution folder;

    3) Start Windows Update services;

    2. Restart BITS service;

    3. Try reset windows update components:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/971058/how-do-i-reset-windows-update-components

    4. Check the windows update log in C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log, check if there's any error.

    Best Regards,

    Anne
