Autologon Encryption ciphers? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using Windows 10, 1703. Autologon says the password is encrypted when saved, but I can't find just what this means. I find older discussions about LSA Secrets, but mostly under XP/2K.  Does it use the same cipher that Credential Guard would use? If we use something like IIS Crypto to specify only TLS1 and up, will Autologon use this when it encrypts?

Our shop needs to be NIST 800-171 compliant, so I have to be able to cite specific ciphers, or at least TLS levels, etc.
