how to add a tab in RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In the PS 2007 version, their was the function Top Link Bar in the Site Setting page of PWA, which allowed to create a new tab beside the Home tab of PWA.

How can we do that in PWA2010? I need to add a link on the SharePoint Central Administration in this new tab.

    Thanks for your help.

  • On the PWA site, go to Site Actions -> Site Settings and click on "Navigation" under the "Look and Feel" section. Add your new link under "Global Navigation" and it will show up next to the "Home" link in the top link bar.

  • Try this: in PWA, go to Server Settings->Quick Launch (Under the Look and Feel section) and uncheck "<label for="ctl00_ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_PWA_PlaceHolderMain__quickLaunchSettings_ctl01__showWSSLinks">Show menu items from Microsoft SharePoint Foundation" </label>

  • Thanks achifu!

    That worked!

But while I was in the Navigation Settings page, inadvertendly I clicked on the Display the Sub-Sites box. So now I have a lot of hyperlinks in  the Quick Launch panel. How can I remove them?

    Thanks again!
