  • My local machine is running windows 8.1 which is the official windows version that is supported at the current time. I just loaded 2015 on the machine and built an App (C++) which built in VS 2012 (64 bit) in both release and debug  modes. In 2015 (64 bit), it builds fine inrelease mode but in debug mode I get the following error:

    "CL.exe" exited with code -17913741701

I noticed that one of the directories under MSBUILD (C:\Program files (X86)\MSBUILD\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\v140\...) v140 is missing.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong in the setup of VS 2015?
