Powerpoint presentation not loading on Windows 10 clients RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I could successfully present pptx file among Win 7 and win 8.1 with Office 2013 installed.

When I try on Windows 10 clients the presentation never appears and keeps "..loading..".

I can still take over as presenter in Win7 or Win8, and it works as expected there.

On the Windows 10 I did:

-updated to Office 2013 SP1 + all Windows updates and Upgrades

-removed Office 2013 and installed Office 2016 + Skype Enterprise

-removed the Appdata\local\Office\Lync\* and restarted Skype

I have a lab with Skype for Business with the following VMs on Win2012R2

    - Standard Frontend server

    - Domain controller

    - Wac server

    Optional

    -Exchange 2013

    -Edge server

Any suggestion for troubleshooting is welcome

  • Excuse me for the late answer, I didn't activate the alert.

There is a new Proxy configuration in Win10, apart Netsh and Internet Options.

Once set this new proxy option correctly, no problem!

  • We had similar issues earlier but was fixed with latest updates, please try from a new machine with all updates installed and also make sure IE11 is made as  the default browser.

  • Dear Akampa

    As I mentioned, the Win10 machine(s) is fully up-to-date.

Changing IE to default browser did not help.

  • Hi lonbluster,

    Welcome to our forum.

Because this is no issues when we use Win7 or Win8, we should troubleshoot with client:
    1. Do a clean boot on this specific Windows 10, then disable A/V software and firewall on it
    2. Create a new account on this Windows 10 to have a check
    3. Install a fresh Windows 10 without third party software to have a test
    4. Make sure Windows10 have same GPO policies with Win7,Win8, or do not have any GPO policies on this Windows 10

If there are any questions or issues, please be free to let me know.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Jim,

    Thanks for your answer.

I am pretty sure I have tried all the above.

I will double check and get back here.

  • Hi lonbluster,

Are there any updates for this issue?

In addition to above suggestion, please update WAC server (include its OS) to the latest to check if the issue persist.
