DPM 2012 SP1 Secondary DPM Sychronization Never Ends RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am experiencing a problem with my secondary DPM 2012 SP1 server.  My primary DPM server protects a file server with the protection agent installed on the file server.  The file server is a hyper-v VM running on a Windows Server 2012 cluster of three servers.  There is a 5TB iSCSI volume on that file server that backs up fine on the primary DPM server.  The secondary DPM server is able to make the replica and successfully backs up the volume but every synchronization ends up in an endless transfer of data.  Synchronizations never complete.  I have deleted the protection group and started over and each time it successfully backs up but then synchronizations never complete and I have to cancel the synchronization.  My secondary DPM server is located at a different data center in case of disaster.  There is gigabit Ethernet connecting each DPM server.  The protection agent is version 4.1.3426.0.  Has anyone else seen this?  All my other servers are replicated to the secondary DPM server without issue.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
