BSOD Windows Vista Home Premium with Yukon 88E8056 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Purchased brand new system 2 weeks ago.

Right out of box, everything was fine until I plugged in network.

After IP address is leased, system would give BSOD.

Note:  Using cable modem with ethernet RJ45 connection - NEVER used USB.

    Corrective steps taken:

Replaced cable modem with newer version.  This helped somewhat but still receive BSOD under following conditions:

bump network connection causing momentary drop of IP connectivity

do any updates that require reboot

run any apps that use intense IP packet traffic

Tried latest drivers - system BSOD and rolled back to pre-installed (I believe v9)

I am ready to disable nic and install a brand-name unless you have any suggestions.

    Thanks much!
