SMTP Relay Logging Question

Question
-
I can't seem to log smtp messages that are relayed from a remote server. I have enabled protocol logging on the receive connector. I am testing this by telneting into exchange 2010 from the remote server and sending a test message. The message arrives okay but I can't seem to find record of it in any of the logs. Where might I find it in the logs?

Are you sure that the logging is set on the correct connector that the application is using?

Not a silly question. I am a newbie.
In EMC under connector properties set Protocol Logging level to Verbose. Enabled for all connectors including Send Connector also. Viewing log under .\TransportRoles\Logs\ProtocolLog\smtpReceive & smtpSend

I'm looking for any sign of the message in the logs. The message is received by the recipient but I find NO sign of it in any of the logs. Same result if the message is sent from within the application. When messages are relayed shouldn't I see them in the logs?Friday, July 13, 2012 8:08 PM
