ActiveSync solution to have allow \ ( Forward slash ) allowed in authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • We Recently have migrated our ActiveSync traffic from ISA to a third party solution . Previously many users authenticated with "Domain / UserName" and few others even used \ ( Forward slash ) and got authenticated with exchange causing no issues as ISA accounted for this  however new 3rd party solution does not . Is there a way out we can have \ ( Forward slash ) based authentication allowed somehow on exchange . I have checked with vendor of 3rd party solution they do not have a way out to provide functionality to have \ ( Forward slash ) converted the way ISA accounted for  . Please suggest ?

  • This isn't an Exchange question, it's a question for your third-party solution provider.

  • The "\" is the backward slash.  The "/" is the forward slash.

I don't have any tricks in Exchange.

  • Thanks for your time Ed .. I now see only option left to have this done manually for all affected users devices..
