Global Throttle Policy reports missing but it is there? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi:

Anyone see this before?  Changes were recently made to the Global Throttle Policy settings in Exchange 2016 CU7.  This has been done many times in the past.  the last time it was done the settings work with the mailboxes, however, you can't seem to find it anymore even using the simple Get-ThrottlingPolicy command.  The object/policy shows correctly including the GUID on every Domain Controller when you go to Settings,CN=organization name,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain. Open CN=Global Throttling Policy_guid

Error is: Couldn't find the global throttling policy in the First Organization.

    PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-ThrottlingPolicy
Couldn't find the global throttling policy in the First Organization.

  • Hi Craig Sasse,

Based on my testing, we cannot remove GlobalThrottlingPolicy with EMS command:

Could you tell us what change do you make to GlobalThrottlingPolicy before? Did you delete it from ADSI?

    Regards,

    Kyle Xu
