  • When I run the system center configuration manager console it crashes and shows an error "Microsoft.CofigurationManagement has stopped working." I tried running the console as administrator.

Answers

  • I have troubleshooted this problem by doing the following tasks:

    1. Ran MBSA tool in SCCM server (where the configuration manager console crashed).

    Download MBSA: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7558

    2. Updated remaining (.NET, Definition and Security) windows update.

    3. Ran .NET framework repair tool.(https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135)

    4. Installed latest .NET framework. (https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/dotnet-framework-runtime).

    It worked for me!!!!!

  • Hello,

Take a look at this log:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\AdminConsole\AdminUILog.log

    Do you see any errors?

Maybe under Event viewer, look at applications log. Any events with errors?
