Export to excel not working in Web Standard. RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI,

We have just installed 6.3 PAS on a new server as we were having memory leakage issues with 6.2

Everything seems to be work except for downloading to excel in web standard.

    http://pas/pas/en/src/ExportGrid418980.xls

This is the kind of link generated each time but the I'm getting a http404 error stating page could not be found.

Does anybody of any component that should be installed on the machine to make this work?

    Kind regards

  • Hi Neal,

The export to Excel function uses our ISAPI filter called PHttpFilter. This filter must be running properly in order for the export to work. To verify that the ISAPI filter is working properly go to the IIS manager, right-click on the website on which PAS is running, select properties and choose the ISAPI Filters tab.

Please note that you may have more than one website running and that the ISAPI filter must be installed for the website containing the PAS virtual directory. If this filter is not installed with a green arrow pointing up for that website, click the 'Add' button and browse to \Program Files\Common Files\ProClarity\Server and select the PHttpFilter.dll. Perform a test on the export to grid function.

If the ISAPI filter is present, it may not be functioning correctly. Using one of the professional products (desktop or web pro) attempt to publish or retrieve a file to or from PAS. The publishing or retrieving of files also uses the ISAPI filter. If this process does not work, try removing the present ISAPI filter and adding the one from Program Files.

    Thanks,

  • Bob,

This worked first time!  - The filter wasn't installed at all, not sure if this is an issue with the install routine of 6.3.  If you work for ProClarity you may want to mention it, if not no problem.

Thank you very much for the response.   Our users have been unable to download in a production environment for about 4 weeks.   I tried to contact ProClarity via Microsoft and just couldn't get anywhere.

Again,  thanks for your help.  It is most appreciated.

    Kind Regards
